| Much further from town that we imagined - in fact a rather odd location. All a bit sterile. Wish we had stayed in town. | |

| Comfortable room and friendly hospitality. Thelma kindly let us have our room unusually early, which was a great help, and also did a load of washing for us. | |

| Really comfortable room, with a nice bathroom. Thelma made us very welcome, and even did us a load of washing whilst we explored the town. The breakfast in the morning was very good too. | |

| Our party of 4, retirees, staying at Beechfield B & B for two nights mid April enabling us to explore the sights of Richmond while walking the Coast to Coast route East to West. Our upstairs rooms had shared bathroom which was light and airy. Our bedroom was large and light with tea and coffee making facilities and a view over the rear garden. The other room was smaller and to the front of the house. Breakfast was comprehensive with fresh fruit, and Full English options, served in the downstairs kitchen/dining area. A couple of things spoilt this visit; the upstairs shared toilet became blocked, however rectified later in the day. Other B & B's enroute had welcomed us with a chat, hot beverage and treats on arrival. On our arrival two women in the party were shown to the rooms upstairs, while the men remained in the conservatory resting after our long walk. They were quite put out when the owners of the B & B made themselves a cup of tea in the adjacent lounge seating area and did not bother to offer them a cup! The milk sachets in the room were out of date, and we had to ask for fresh milk. | |

| Thelma made us very welcome, the room was spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated and we had the bathroom all to ourselves. Breakfast was lovely and Thelma’s husband carried the luggage down from our room as Sherpa arrived quite early. One of the best places on the C2C. | |

| I'd recommend this as a good place to stay, comfortable and bright with a nice big bathroom. The bottle of wine was a nice touch, as were the bathrobes and toiletries. The place is easy to find since Thelma sends a map on making the reservation. Minor criticisms: I'd have been happy to have more space and less furniture in the bedroom and bigger mugs for the tea (the teeny china cups were pretty but not practical). Re other reviews: I can't understand why anyone walking the coast to coast would worry about a 10 minute walk up a hill! | |

| Lovely people, lovely house, lovely room, lovely breakfast........you get the picture. Only downside was 10 mins from centre, but a taxi had us there in no time for a few quid so not a problem. Had a great indian meal just next to Weathrspoons pub and really enjoyed our stay in Richmond as we could stock up on essentials. Would recommend this property a hostess was lovely | |

| We stayed there on Monday 8th & 15th September. Short walk off the C2C route but worth it. Lovely bedroom with Freeview TV & DVD player. Also nice half bottle of red wine. Large bathroom with big Bath / Shower. Super breakfast & packed lunch - 8.5 /10. Plenty of places to eat & drink. We used a Wetherspoon's Pub which was very good. | |

| Lovely place! Had booked a twin room but were given two rooms at no extra charge. Bottle of wine was appreciated, bathroom, tv and tea and coffee facilities were fantastic. Breakfast just brilliant. Thelma is very clearly an old pro at b&b and felt very welcome. Stayed July 08. | |

| Not quite on the C2C route but certainly worth the short walk to arrive at No 16! Bathroom with large bath well received at this point. Breakfast menu excellent! We liked the touch of a small bottle of Merlot in the room! | |
